NaBloPoMo: Understanding

I’ve been thinking about understanding today, as it relates to grief and loss…and cyberloss in particular. So, that’s where today’s poem originates from. I’ve also found comfort in listening to this Don Williams song. I won’t be around tomorrow, but there’ll be a post, as I’m going to write something later and schedule it.

Understanding takes a variety of forms
It comes when you least expect it
And leaves just as quickly.

I know.
There are times when I think I have it
Then I notice it’s given me the slip

When it escapes
It leaves more questions than before
And of course, answers none
As it leaves through the side door.

The question isn’t why
It’s not even how
Rather it should be
What do I do now?

Wishing you peace and strength on your journeys,
