Another fond memory whilst getting through pre-anniversary grief

Today I’m thinking about some of the things that Chris and I shared during the time that we communicated whilst she was here. I fondly remember sharing the guitar chord charts I made for songs like My Sweet Lord and Here Comes the Sun…but my favourite memory revolves around a conversation we had in April 2006, when she requested chords to another Harrison track, one called ‘Dark Sweet Lady‘ and said to me: ‘It’s a long time I don’t play guitar, you made me find the way again. Thanks!’ When I think about moments like that, I know that there was a reason for my being in Chris’ life, and a reason for her being part of mine. This time of year causes me pain because I love(d) her so, but if I focus on the pain, I forget the blessing that it was to know her.

What reminds you of your online friends? What do you do to stay connected, if you’ll excuse the pun? Please feel free to leave a comment and talk about how you remember those people you’ve known online.

Wishing you peace and strength on your journeys, as ever,
